New to the reloading bench? Here's your chance to jump in
Mill Creek Rifle Club members are invited to attend two upcoming training courses on the basics of reloading your own ammunition.
Based on the highly popular NRA training series and taught by Mill Creek Member and former Safety Director Jason Roth, these upcoming courses will start you at the basics and introduce you to the world of ammo reloading equipment, supplies, specs, and more. The two course series includes:
NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading Course (Pistol and Rifle) - Dec 6 at 9 a.m.
This 8-hour classroom course teaches beginning reloaders the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely reload metallic cartridges.
Each student is taught reloading safety; centerfire cartridge components; using the reloading manual and reloading data; equipment; and the metallic cartridge reloading process. Students will receive the NRA Guide to Reloading handbook, the Basic Reloading Student Exam, a course completion certificate, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure and a Course Evaluation form.
NRA Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Course - Feb 7 at 8 a.m.
This 6-hour classroom course teaches beginning reloaders the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely reload shotgun shells.
Each student is taught reloading safety; shotgun shell components; using the reloading manual and reloading data; equipment; and the shotgun shell reloading process. Students will receive the NRA Guide to Reloading handbook, the Basic Reloading Student Exam, a course completion certificate, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure and a Course Evaluation form.
Each course is available at a discount to Mill Creek members for $60, or $100 for both. Mr. Roth will lead discussions on reloading components, manuals/data, equipment, and the overall process. The day will end with practical, hands-on exercises. All necessary equipment and supplies will be provided. All you need to bring is yourself and a lunch.
